Ketchum Ear Tattoos
Model 50D & 101 Tattooers: Most popular sizes for tattooing new born pigs (50D at birth to 3 days of age, 101 from 4 to 21 days of age), dogs, rabbits and other small animals. Character size: 50D-4mm (3/16"), 101-6mm (1/4"). Forceps hold up to 6 characters in one row. Model 50D available with 7 and 8 holes.
Ketchum Tattoo Outfit: One tattoo forceps, one set of numbers (0-9), one 28 gm (1oz) tube of green tattoo ink paste, rubber release strips and instructions. Model 201 Series
Models 201R, 201B, 201C, 201A: The 201 series tattooers use an 8mm (5/16") size character. Each features the special Ketchum chisel point pin, which gives illusion of continuous line character. Model 201R has revolving head with up to 4 characters on each of the two faces of the head. Models 201B holds up to 6 characters on one row. Models 201C holds up to 4 characters in one row. Model 201A holds up to 8 characters in 2 rows of 4 characters each. Replacement Lock-Bar kit consists of Lock-Bar, Locking Spring, Split Pin and Screw. Tattooing is permanent, cost-effective identification. Ketchum permanent, antiseptic tattoo ink is spread on the area to be tattooed. Number, letter or custom designed tattoo dies inserted into the tattooer make small punctures in the skin. Ketchum tattoo in is rubbed into the puncture. The skin soon closes over the punctures, capturing the ink. The tattoo enlarges as the animal grows. All Ketchum tattooers feature the Lock-Bar method of character retention for fast, easy exchange of individual characters. No screws to undo. Characters stay in place when lock bar is open.
